Autumn and Winter are dry and the bush is less dense, which makes game viewing easier. Animals visit the water holes more often due to lack of abundant water in the bush.

Komatipoort is only 20 km away for those that want to just see a bit of civilisation and the Crocodile gate to the Kruger Park is a mere 23 kilometres from Marloth park.
